    Washington Court House has a humid continental climate characterized by hot, humid summers and cold, dry winters. The area experiences a small amount of snowfall during winter because it is too far from both Lake Erie and the path of seasonal Nor'easters. Residents can expect 40 inches of rain, 20 inches of snow, and 176 sunny days each year. 

    Central Ohio is located on flat, low-lying plains. Pike Lake State Park and Tar Hollow State Forest are located southeast of the city.

    Local attractions in Washington Court House include the Fayette County Museum as well as greenspaces like Christman Park, Eyman Park, and Washington Park.

    Located between Cincinnati and Columbus, residents of Washington Court House have easy access to all these cities have to offer, including the Center of Science and Industry, Columbus Museum of Art, Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden, and the Newport Aquarium. Both of these cities boast high-end shopping and dining as well.

    The Fayette County Memorial Hospital services the area, and there are several hospitals in the surrounding area, including Adena Greenfield Medical Center and CMH Regional Health System-Wilmington. Adena Medical Center in Chillicothe is the closest hospital rated high performing by U.S. News.
