Set in Gold Canyon, Arizona, Mountainbrook Village is a hidden gem of the Phoenix area. This mid-sized community features 1,659 homes, resort-style amenities and two 18-hole golf courses. Its location at the base of the Superstition Mountains also gives the community striking views, as well as a quiet setting away from the bustle of downtown Phoenix.

Mountainbrook Village was developed by Shea Homes and UDC from 1989 to 2001. It features duplex and single-family homes in a wide range of styles and sizes. These low-maintenance homes are currently available on a resale basis.

Residences

The 1,659 homes at Mountainbrook Village include both attached and single-family designs by both UDC and Shea Homes. The section of attached homes, known as Pinnacle Vistas, was built by UDC with two models, sized at 1,393 or 1,526 square feet.

Each model includes two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a two-car garage. Homebuyers who prefer a single-family home can choose from a wider range of styles. These homes include models ranging from 1,332 to over 2,400 square feet. They typically include two or three bedrooms, two to three bathrooms, and two to three-car garages. Larger homes may also have separate dens and up to four bedrooms.

Amenities 

At the heart of the community, a spacious clubhouse brings residents together for social and recreational activities. This inviting activity center features a wide range of amenities. Residents can make use of the cardiovascular and strength-training equipment in the fitness center, explore their creativity in the arts and crafts studio, or enjoy some friendly competition with a game of cards or billiards.

The clubhouse provides plenty of space for meetings of Mountainbrook Village’s numerous special-interest groups and social clubs. There is a Wall Street room, a computer lab, and a well-stocked library. The activity center also features a spacious ballroom which can be used for a variety of activities, parties and community events.

Recreation 

Resident golfers will love the challenging play at the community’s semi-private championship golf courses. There are two 18-hole courses: Mountainbrook Village Golf Course and Gold Canyon Resort. With a backdrop of mountain vistas, these courses feature rolling greens, white sand traps, and glistening lakes.

Beyond golf, Mountainbrook Village offers a number of other outdoor recreations. The swimming area features two outdoor pools, a jacuzzi, and a large sundeck with a shaded lounge area. Sports courts support many interests, including, tennis, basketball, pickleball, and bocce ball. There is also an outdoor patio and grilling area that is ideal for small gatherings.
