The homes for sale in Southwest Florida are in high demand for their proximity to the dazzling Gulf of Mexico as well as dozens of lushly landscaped golf courses, outdoor recreation, shopping, and restaurants with fresh catches of the day.
Buyers looking for something affordable are in luck. Some cities (we’re looking at you, Naples) are known for higher price tags. However, there are lots of homes for sale in Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, and Sarasota with price tags at or below the $150k mark. Many of them are in some of the region’s most desirable active adult communities.

Seven Lakes – Fort Myers, FL

High-rise buildings with dramatic views hold the condo units, which offer 1,300 to 2,000 square feet. Garden condos are single-story attached homes with around 1,800 square feet, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and attached two-car garages.
Lake Tippecanoe – Sarasota, FL
Low $100s – Mid $100s
Active adults looking for Sarasota homes for sale with a price tag under $150k will find them at Lake Tippecanoe, a gated, 55+ community with condos and attached villas ranging from 1,066 to 1,296 square feet. Resale homes have two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The HOA provides a low-maintenance lifestyle, with landscaping and exterior upkeep included as well as cable bills and care for the amenities.
Speaking of amenities, residents at Lake Tippecanoe enjoy their clubhouse, which has meeting rooms and multi-purpose spaces for card games and club meetings.
