Mattamy Homes has announced the official launch of sales for attached villas and single-family homes in their latest low-maintenance community, built along the banks of the St. Johns River. Buyers are invited to talk to sales agents and builders to discuss the type of dream home they’re hoping to find in this unique and well-located neighborhood.

Hombuyers looking for a Florida retirement community that’s modern, welcoming, and right on the water should take a look at the new homes being completed in WaterSong at RiverTown.

St. Johns Homes for Sale in WaterSong at RiverTown

Construction began earlier this year, and by the time the community is complete, there will be 800 new homes ready for move-in. By purchasing a new home early, buyers will have the opportunity to customize their home in unique ways. Depending on the model and floor plan that’s chosen, they can have input into finishes, details, and custom upgrades.

Buying now will also allow for prime location selection. To select a home that’s close to the clubhouse and pool or on a lot that provides a view of the water, you’ll want to make your offer as soon as you can.

WaterSong at RiverTown is part of the larger RiverTown master-planned community. There are seven neighborhoods, most of which are without age restrictions. WaterSong will be a 55+ community dedicated to active adults and the lifestyle they appreciate.

Amenities and Opportunities in WaterSong at RiverTown

Residents of WaterSong will have access to both private amenities and those in the master RiverTown community.

Residents at WaterSong at RiverTown will enjoy resort-style amenities and have the opportunity to participate in dozens of clubs, activities, and social events. All of the amenities within the greater RiverTown community will be available to WaterSong residents.

The RiverHouse Amenity Complex includes a clubhouse with meeting and multipurpose rooms. There’s also a large fitness center and a yoga studio. Two pools are available; an Olympic-sized pool and a zero-entry pool. There’s an outdoor patio, a spacious sports field, and a playground for visiting grandchildren.

At The RiverClub, there’s a lot of waterfront fun to be found. This amenity area includes a clubhouse with a restaurant and cafe. There’s also a game room, multipurpose room, and meeting rooms. Residents can relax by the outdoor pool or take a stroll on the boardwalk, which leads to a fishing pier and kayak launch.

There’s an outdoor amphitheater for festivals and events, and the entire community has wide sidewalks and pleasant greenspaces along the river which makes for nice biking, walking, and jogging areas.

Once residents begin moving in, there will be a lot of community classes and social events. Fitness classes will be available as well as clubs and groups for things like kayaking, fishing, and cards.

Living in St. Johns, Florida

Active adults who want to be close to the culture and entertainment found in Jacksonville while remaining close to the nature and wildlife that Florida is known for will find everything they want at WaterSong at RiverTown. It’s located in St. Johns, Florida.

The community is less than half an hour south of the city, and about half an hour west of the historic town of St. Augustine. It’s surrounded by tranquil waters and prime fishing. The Atlantic Ocean is only 20 minutes away, and the St. Johns River, the longest river in Florida, is right in the backyard.

St. Johns is full of recreational opportunities. For golfers, St. Johns Golf & Country Club is a popular place to play, and local residents also enjoy playing at King & Bear. Seatrout, redfish, and flounder are known to be found by anyone fishing at Shands Pier, and there are public boat ramps and rentals throughout the area.

Hiking, mountain biking, birding, and wildlife watching is available throughout St. Johns. The Gourd Island Conservation Area has trails winding through wetlands and upland swamps. Nocatee Preserve offers great views along the intracoastal waterway. Horseback riding is just as popular in this area as walking or hiking.

There’s plenty of fun shopping and dining in the area as well. There’s Cafe Genovese for Italian food and Taps Bar & Grill is a favorite for drinks and live music. Durbin Park has well-known retailers as well as local boutiques, and there’s also a movie theater and plenty of dining options.
