Here are four 55+ communities that offer rentals in North Carolina.

Originally built by Greystar in 2016, the gated and age-restricted Overture Crabtree complex features a total of 203 apartments. There’s a wide variety of floor plans to choose from, with 11 layouts ranging from 660 to 1,288 square feet. Options can have one to two bedrooms and one to two bathrooms. A few of the one-bedroom plans also offer a den area.

Overture Crabtree residents have access to a long list of desirable amenities on the property, including a great room, a demonstration kitchen, a private dining room, a billiards and game room, and a movie theater. Residents can start each morning at the community’s coffee bar and bistro and get pampered on the weekends at the on-site nail and hair salon. There’s also no shortage of ways to stay fit and active, with a fitness center, yoga studio, and swimming pool.

Prices Starting At $1,485

Raleigh’s Overture Centennial is the most affordable apartment complex of the four options in North Carolina, with monthly rent prices starting as low as $1,485. Upon final completion, the age-restricted development will feature a total of 188 apartments. There will be two dozen floor plans for prospective renters to consider, ranging from 598 to 1,373 square feet with one to two bedrooms and one to two-and-a-half bathrooms. Several options also include a den.

Along with the many floor plan options, final plans for the complex also include several amenities such as a great room, a fully-equipped fitness center, a yoga studio, an art studio, a demonstration kitchen, a movie theater, and a coffee bar. Outdoor amenities will include a heated swimming pool, a terrace, and a sun deck for residents to enjoy when the weather is nice. 

Prices Starting At $1,800

Charlotte’s Overture Providence complex is age-restricted and made up of 175 units. The development has a vast selection of floor plans with 18 options for potential residents to choose from. Layouts range from one-bedroom, one-bathroom options to two-bedroom, two-bathroom options. Plans vary from 677 to 1,223 square feet, and most units offer open floor plans, walk-in closets, granite countertops, and private patios or balconies. 

Amenities within the community include a great room, an art studio, fitness and yoga studios, a demonstration kitchen, a movie theater, and a billiards and game room. Outdoors, residents have access to a pool and a sun deck.

Beyond the complex’s amenities, there’s also a long list of organized social clubs that will appeal to various interests from cooking and chess to drama and books. There are also several community social events scheduled throughout the year that residents can attend, including cooking classes, happy hours, holiday parties, and movie nights. 

Prices Starting At $1,600

Located only minutes from Uptown Charlotte, the Overture Cotswold complex offers renters the opportunity to live close to the city without being directly in the everyday rush. The community is age-restricted, gated, and made up of 158 units. There are a dozen floor plans that vary from 649 to 1,285 square feet. Layouts can have one to two bedrooms and one to two bathrooms. Many units also feature a private patio or balcony.

Like the other Overture properties in North Carolina, Overture Cotswold also features an impressive list of amenities. Renters have access to spaces like a great room, a demonstration kitchen, a billiards and game room, a movie theater, and a coffee bistro. Additional indoor amenities include a yoga studio, a fitness center, and a nail and hair salon. Outside, there’s a heated swimming pool and a sun deck.
