New Community Alert: Del Webb BayView in Palmetto, FL

Del Webb BayView is coming to Palmetto, giving Florida-bound retirees another attractive 55+ community to consider.

There’s good news for active adults hoping to find a 55+ community near Tampa as well as other Gulf Coast cities like Sarasota and Clearwater. Popular homebuilder Del Webb has bought land to develop a new residential community of single-family and attached new construction homes in Palmetto. Del Webb BayView will be in north Manatee County, just off Interstate 75 and close to golf, beaches, shopping, and dining.

The area is an ideal location for a new active adult community. Its proximity to Tampa and Sarasota will be a huge selling point as will the white sand beaches along the Gulf of Mexico. Del Webb expects that this will be a lifestyle-driven community, like the others they have created throughout Florida.

Del Webb is a division of PulteGroup, and they expect they’ll be ready to sell homes in this new community in 2021.

Planned Homes

There are 900 homes planned for the gated Del Webb BayView community. The anticipated price range for these new construction homes will be in the mid $200s to the mid $500s. Buyers can expect to choose a low-maintenance duplex home or a larger single-family home with more privacy and space.

The Villa Series will include two or three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an attached two-car garage. Floor plans in this series range from 1,543 to 1,579 square feet. The Kendrick and The Ellenton are one-floor models, providing ease of living and extra security. Covered outdoor space will be available as well as large gourmet kitchens with islands and plenty of cooking and prep space.

The Scenic Series has three models with 1,405 to 1,655 square feet as well as two to four bedrooms, two or three bathrooms, and an attached two-car garage. Options for a second story are available, and there can be a sunroom added as well as expansive covered outdoor space. Floor plans are open and spacious, and there’s space for a den or office.

Four models are available in the Distinctive Series, offering buyers two to five bedrooms, two or three bathrooms, and an attached two-car garage. These homes start at 1,670 square feet and may be as large as 2,080 square feet. Some homes have loft space with extra bedrooms, a breakfast nook, and a large covered lanai.

The largest and most distinct floor plans will be found in the Echelon Series. Here, buyers can explore models with names like Stardom, Stellar, and Renown. There are two to four bedrooms, between two and five bathrooms, and 2,269 to 2,808 square feet. Residents will love the open concept gathering rooms, spa bathrooms, and private outdoor space.

Living in Palmetto

Del Webb communities never lack amenities, and this one won’t either. While the details are still being finalized, buyers can expect a clubhouse, a pool, and a fitness center among other indoor and outdoor facilities. Residents at other local Del Webb communities are known to get together for clubs, special interest groups, and gatherings like potlucks and movie nights.

The Palmetto location is also going to provide plenty of things for residents to enjoy. Its location along the Manatee River will bring residents opportunities for boating, fishing, hiking, and wildlife viewing. Emerson Point Preserve is close to the area, and ideal for anyone who enjoys history and culture. Ancient temple mounds can be explored while taking in views of the Gulf of Mexico. Detwiler’s Farm Market is a popular place to stock up on locally grown produce, and there are breweries, beaches, and gardens throughout the area.

For golfers, tee times can be made at local championship courses such as Terra Ceia Bay Country Club and River Run Golf Links. The Ellenton Outlets provide a wide variety of brands when it’s time to shop, and some of the most popular restaurants in the area include waterfront eateries in the city’s historic district, such as Riverhouse Waterfront Restaurant and the Sea Hut.
