I've worked in real estate since 2013, when I formed a team with my mom, Mindy Zimmerman. Since that time our real estate team has specialized in serving 55+ buyers and sellers in the Lancaster, Lebanon, and Berks County markets. Our local area in Pennsylvania is great for 55+ homebuyers for several reasons. Pennsylvania doesn't tax pensions or social security, and we're conveniently close to major cities like Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Baltimore, Wilmington, New York City, and Washington D.C. without the burdensome city taxes. You can hop on a train or in a car and be in Philadelphia within an hour or so. On the other hand, you can also walk out onto your back deck or front porch with a cup of coffee and enjoy the fresh air, birds chirping, farm views, maybe the occasional clomping of an amish buggy passing by. It's a very serene place to spend your retirement. Our local hospitals and healthcare are also top rated! Contact an agent in the area you are considering as soon as possible, you do not have to do this alone! Contacting an agent does not mean that you are committing to buying or even that you are ready, it just means that you are asking for help from someone who knows the area well. Visit as soon as you can, visiting early will give you so much clarity and confidence when the time comes to make a decision. We know residents to introduce you to (so many are our past clients). We know how to get you into the clubhouses, the backroads to take to show you how to avoid summer traffic in Amish Country, and where the local trails and produce stands are! When you take a community tour with us, we'll point out all of this plus the hospitals and grocery stores you'll frequent for each community. We'll stop and talk to residents that we run into, tell you all about what is included in the monthly fees and what homes usually sell for. We can even point out which floor plan each home likely is, usually just from looking at the outside. On a personal note, my friends know me as an avid animal lover. I care for two goats, five chickens, two dogs, and two cats. I have also volunteered at a songbird rehabilitation facility as well as fostered dogs and kittens for most of my adult life.
