East of Phoenix, in Mesa, Arizona, Sunland Springs Village was designed to offer resort-style living for active adults aged 55 and better. Homebuyers are particularly drawn to this golf community for its great location and semi-customizable homes. Sunland Springs Village is adjacent to Superstition Gateway, a shopping center which offers both big-name stores and small, specialty shops.

Sunland Springs Village was opened by Farnsworth in 1997 and is still in development with plans for 2,890 homes. The community includes both attached and single-family homes, and homebuyers have the option to partially or fully customize the floor plans to meet their needs.

This has helped the community develop a unique look with a diverse mix of homes. Homebuyers who want low-maintenance living may opt for a townhome or golf condo. These attached, single-level homes range in size from approximately 1,064 to 1,705 square feet. They include one to three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and attached two-car garages.

Homes have covered patios for outdoor living, and golf condos also include private, front-yard courtyards. Those who prefer detached homes can choose from a variety of single-family designs. These include seven floor plans, ranging in size from approximately 1,187 to 2,315 square feet.

Homes typically feature one to four bedrooms, two to two and-a-half bathrooms, and two or three-car garages. Several have separate dens, while most have covered porches and patios.

This spacious amenity center brings residents together with hobby and game rooms, arts and crafts studios, and areas for socializing.

Residents can make use of the computer center, exercise in the fitness center or attend an event in the 13,000 square-foot auditorium. The community’s social calendar lets residents get involved with their neighbors and try new pursuits.

Social clubs and special-interest groups cover a wide range of topics, including arts and crafts, bingo, cards, photography, motorcycles, dancing, tai chi and yoga. Neighbors can enjoy karaoke parties, dances, social outings and more.

Recreation

Outdoors, Sunland Springs Village makes it easy for residents to stay active while enjoying the Arizona sunshine. The grounds feature two swimming pools, walking and biking trails, and a pet park. Sports courts support activities including tennis, pickleball, bocce ball, shuffleboard, horseshoes, softball, volleyball and basketball.

Resident golfers can enjoy challenging play on the Sunland Springs Village Golf Course. This 27-hole executive course includes three 9-hole courses that can be combined for a game that fits players of any skill level. The public course offers lovely views of the Superstition Mountain Range, a full-service pro shop, chipping and putting areas, and a driving range.
