While there are no 55+ communities in Atlantic City, there are quite a few nearby.

Atlantic County is mostly known for its biggest tourist draw: Atlantic City. It’s a great place for casino gambling, world-class entertainment, gourmet dining, shopping, boating, and sandy beaches. This particular zip code doesn’t have active adult communities within its borders, but the surrounding area has some that hold great appeal.

Back around the 1850s, Atlantic City was a popular resort town, and tourists came in by the droves from Philly and New York. In fact, the “Monopoly” game streets are named after the city’s downtown streets. Things slowed down after World War II, but after gambling was legalized in the 1970s it underwent a revitalization. Now, retirees can find affordable, attractive homes not far from downtown.
