Pelican Landing: Bonita Springs Real Estate

Pelican Landing is a community with over 3,000 homes. Diverse in size, layout, and price points, residences at Pelican Landing appeal to many buyers. Starting in the mid $200s, condos are available in stylish high-rise buildings with astonishing views. These condo homes offer 1,300 to 2,000 square feet, and buyers can opt for a view of the water or the golf course.

For residents who don’t love using an elevator to get to their front door, garden condos are also available in the same price range. They have three bedrooms, two bathrooms, an attached one-car garage, and up to 1,800 square feet.

For maintenance-free living, buyers might want to consider the villas at Pelican Landing. These are completely detached, offering the same space and privacy as single-family models but with less upkeep and landscaping. They have attached two-car garages and a single-story floor plan, which is great for 55+ buyers who aren’t excited about stairs. The price range for villas is between the high $400s and the low $700s.

Coach homes are similarly priced, and they’re available in two-story buildings with two or three bedrooms and a one- or two-car garage. These models offer 1,300 to 1,800 square feet.

Single-family homes are available in several resale models and floor plans. Homebuyers can choose from three to six bedrooms and up to four bathrooms. There’s plenty of storage, large attached garages, and views of the golf course, the water, or the nature preserves. Prices start in the low $600s and climb over the $1M mark, depending on the size and style of home.

Residents at Pelican Landing get more than just a clubhouse and a pool. The amenities are inclusive and enable a lot of special events and club activities. The Community Center is 14,900 square feet, and it hosts book clubs, art classes, and recurring pasta nights. There’s also a fitness center, an aerobics and dance studio, and a hobby and game room. Exercise classes and socials are frequently held, and there are several meeting and multi-purpose rooms to support them.

The Beach Park has a special set of amenities for residents who love the water. The Beach House includes shower facilities as well as a nature library for studying, writing, or recreational reading. An outdoor patio offers views of the two picnic pavilions, two bocce ball courts, and the 34-acre beach park.

This community is ideal for competitive and recreational golf and tennis players. The Tennis Center has a dozen courts and a pro shop. The Pelican’s Nest Golf Club has a 45,000-square-foot clubhouse with a couple of dining rooms. The 18-Hole Tom Fazio golf course attracts players of all levels, and there are also practice facilities and locker rooms. The Thirsty Pelican Grill Room is a great place to grab lunch after playing the front nine. In addition to a ballroom and a catering kitchen, the golf club is also the launch point for kayaks and canoes.

Living in Bonita Springs, Florida

Buying a Bonita Springs home in the Pelican Landing community means taking advantage of everything the well-located coastal city has to offer. Golfers who get tired of playing at Pelican’s Nest can venture out to try Bonita National Golf & Country Club or Palmira Golf Club. With an average of 271 sunny days per year, this is an excellent place to enjoy some year-round golf.

The beaches and parks around Bonita Springs are tranquil and rarely suffer from the crowds of tourists that can be found in other Florida destinations. Locals love the seclusion and the snorkeling at Lovers Key State Park. Another great beach is Delnor-Wiggins State Park, cherished for its pristine sands, excellent paddleboarding, and great hiking trails along the Cocohatchee River. Barefoot Beach is also an easy spot to spend the day swimming, sunbathing, or just enjoying a mile-long nature walk.

For shopping, nightlife, and dining out, residents at Pelican Landing are close to some of the best local spots. The downtown area is currently undergoing some redevelopment, which will create an urban center that’s walkable and full of shops, restaurants, cafes, boutiques, and galleries.

For now, the best places to eat and drink include Coconut Jack’s, which serves fresh seafood on the water, and Iguana Mia, a local favorite well-known for its margaritas and flaming fajitas. Promenade at Bonita Bay is the best place to shop. There are well-known retailers as well as small, artsy shops in this outdoor collection of stores and eateries.

Pelican Landing and Bonita Springs are right off of Interstate 75, making it easy to travel to the north and south of Florida. Naples is just 15 minutes away, and Fort Myers is a half-hour drive away. To the north, Sarasota takes an hour to reach, and residents who want to visit Miami can get there in about two hours.
