One of the best places to live on Florida’s Treasure Coast is Port St. Lucie, a thriving community close to the Atlantic and full of places to shop, eat, relax, and play golf. Buyers looking for Port St. Lucie real estate don’t have to worry about spending a million dollars on high-quality homes. There are plenty of houses for sale in Port St. Lucie that are $200,000 or less.

Here are some active adult communities offering homes for sale under $200k.

Lake Forest

Mid $100s – Low $300s

Lake Forest is an active adult community without age restrictions that’s perfect for buyers who want to be close to shopping and daily conveniences. The neighborhood is close to retailers, grocery stores, and restaurants. It also has more than 10 single-family home models ranging in size from 1,300 to 2,208 square feet. The community’s resale homes offer two to four bedrooms, two to three bathrooms, and attached two-car garages. Spacious kitchens and backyard patios are standard with all houses.

The amenities start with the clubhouse, where there’s a fitness center and a lounge as well as a hobby and game room. Residents can expect to find their neighbors here playing poker, enjoying happy hour, or hosting specialty dinners and cooking demonstrations. There are two outdoor pools and spas, a patio, and cabanas. The community has well-landscaped trails and walking paths that are also ideal for jogging or biking.

LakePark at Tradition

High $100s – High $200s

Buyers looking for new construction Port St. Lucie homes can find what they want in their budget at LakePark at Tradition. This 55+ community is made up of new and resale single-family homes and attached villas in the master-planned Tradition development. Many of the amenities specific to the active adult community are coming soon, including the clubhouse and the state-of-the-art fitness center. But there’s currently a pool and cabana, an event lawn, a scenic outdoor gathering area with a grill, and trails and pathways that wind through the community. Residents are also welcome to use the amenities at TownPark at Tradition.

Homes at LakePark at Tradition are between 1,565 and 2,220 square feet, and buyers can choose new construction with two or three bedrooms and a den. Most homes have two bathrooms and an attached two-car garage. Upgrades and updates available include granite counters, tile floors, and high ceilings. The community is right off Interstate 95 and close to canals and lakes. Oak Hammock Park, where there’s a boat ramp, walking trails, and picnic areas, is also closeby.

Tarpon Bay Yacht Club

Mid $100s – High $200s

At Tarpon Bay Yacht Club, buyers can find resale condo homes in models with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and 1,314 to 1,666 square feet. Only 120 condos are available, keeping the neighborhood small and close-knit. The community is on the north fork of the St. Lucie River, providing water views and immediate access for boaters, anglers, and nature lovers who enjoy watching wildlife and birds.

There’s a boat dock, nature trails, and a fruit tree orchard at this 55+ community. There are also tennis, pickleball, and shuffleboard courts. Residents enjoy a pool and spa as well as a patio and grilling area. Inside the clubhouse, there’s a community area and a workshop. There’s also a library and billiards. Residents use the space to hold happy hours, breakfast socials, and book club meetings.

Cascades at St. Lucie West

Low $200s – High $300s

Affordable resale homes are available for less than $200,000 at Cascades at St. Lucie West, a 55+ community that’s known for its amenities. If living on a golf course is part of your Florida retirement plans, this community has one. There’s a nine-hole, Par 3 course as well as shuffleboard, bocce, and 10 lighted Har-Tru tennis courts. Residents also have access to a basketball court, a pool, a spa, and a poolside bar. The clubhouse includes a fitness center and an aerobics studio. There are also three card rooms, a library, and a computer lab.

The most affordable homes are in the Crystal Collection, with floor plans that range from 1,257 to 1,626 square feet. Homes have two or three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and attached two-car garages. They have open floor plans, backyard lanais, and huge master suites. Larger homes are also available in the more expensive Jewel Collection and Vintage Collection. Located right between Interstate 95 and the Florida Turnpike, living in this community makes travel easy and enjoyable.
