Look practically anywhere in South Jersey and you will find new home construction, expanding, shopping centers, emerging town squares, and new businesses being built. This is because the area’s population continues to grow, making South Jersey real estate a hot commodity.
This trend has also trickled over to more established communities, including 55+ neighborhoods. Many homeowners stay put as prices continue to rise, which can result in more demand than supply. Fortunately, Southern New Jersey has 128 active adult communities, many with available homes priced at under $150K.
Aside from great value, these South Jersey communities are all about location. Homeowners enjoy easy access to lovely farmlands, the Jersey Shore, Atlantic City, Philadelphia, The Big Apple, the Pine Barrens, and the best diners in the country. The area is peppered with charming small towns, farmers markets (weather permitting), wineries, breweries, and state parks like the Manasquan River Greenway.
