The Pines of DelrayDelray Beach, FL

Mid $100s – Low $200s

With two clubhouses and a volunteer social committee, residents at The Pines of Delray know that they’ve found something special.

This gated 55+ community offers affordable Delray Beach real estate and a strong sense of community. There are two clubhouses in the north and south ends of the neighborhood, and each of them has a pool, patio, and multipurpose or game rooms. The North Clubhouse includes bocce ball courts and the South Clubhouse features shuffleboards and a fitness center. There’s also tennis and a game room.

Attached villas and condos make up this 684-home community, and each floor plan has between one and three bedrooms, one or two bathrooms, and features like open-concept kitchens, eat-in kitchens, and screened porches. Models range from 812 to 1,600 square feet.

Delray Beach has plenty of affordable things to do, including walking along the beach and visiting the Pineapple Grove Arts District, where visitors can view murals, street art, galleries, and cafes.

Colonial ClubBoynton Beach, FL

It’s possible to find affordable Palm Beach real estate along the Intracoastal Waterway, especially for buyers interested in condo living at Colonial Club. This 55+ community in Boynton Beach is just a few minutes from beaches and golf courses.

Condos are between 950 and 1,200 square feet, and they have one or two bedrooms and spacious kitchens with built-in shelving and pantries. The 504 resale condos are spread out between 18 three-story buildings with elevators. Buyers can choose a home with a view of the garden, the water, or a nearby golf course.

Amenities at Colonial Club include a clubhouse, fitness center, game room, library, and a community kitchen for club events and social activities. Outdoors, residents can find a grilling area, a patio, and a heated pool. Residents play shuffleboard and take long walks around the well-located community.

The community is close to Links at Boynton Beach Golf and Winston Trails Golf Club, as well as the Boynton Beach Mall. Active adults who love fishing and boating will find that this community’s waterfront location is hard to beat.

This 55+ community features 6,500 condos spread out over buildings that have between two and four floors, all with elevators and secured entry. The homeowners’ association (HOA) covers exterior maintenance, amenities upkeep, and trash removal. There is also a full-time activities director on-site to help organize club activities, social events, and group outings.

Condos for sale are available in 10 different floor plans with one or two bedrooms. Units range from 615 and 1,500 square feet, and certain condos include balconies with views of the water or the golf course.

Residents can easily stay busy at Century Village at West Palm Beach. Residents who want to go into town for shopping, dining, or entertainment can leave their cars at home and take the community transit that’s provided.

Century Village at West Palm Beach is home to a 92,000-square-foot clubhouse with a fitness center, a dance studio, and an indoor resistance pool. Meeting rooms, party rooms, computers, and a sewing studio are also available. The community also has outdoor pools, a performance stage, shuffleboards, tennis courts, and a library, as well.

PoincianaLake Worth, FL

Low $100s – Mid $200s

Golf course living doesn’t have to be expensive. At Poinciana in Lake Worth, residents at this 55+ community can pay when they play at the on-site golf course, keeping HOA fees lower than at other golf course communities.

In addition to the 18 holes of golf, active adults can enjoy the eight outdoor pools, four tennis courts, shuffleboard, bocce, and events at the multipurpose rooms in the clubhouse. Mel’s Way Bistro is the clubhouse restaurant, where residents can grab a meal or view live entertainment several nights a week.

The community has seven condo buildings with floor plans ranging from 1,222 to 1,663 square feet. There are also attached villas and single-family homes available, ranging between 1,500 and 2,100 square feet.

Lots of golf, fishing, and beach fun can be found in Lake Worth, just minutes from Poinciana. The Lake Worth Fishing Pier stays open for night fishing. Residents who appreciate nature and wildlife can enjoy an easy hike at nearby John Prince Park or Bryant Park, where there’s a trail leading to a pier on the water.

The amenities at Whisper Walk are perfect for residents who enjoy activities like shuffleboard, pickleball, and handball. There are also tennis courts and eight outdoor pools, some with whirlpool spas. The five clubhouses are spread out around the community’s sprawling acreage. There is also a fitness center and multipurpose rooms.

Outside of the community, Whisper Walk residents are close to grocery stores, retail centers, and other conveniences. It’s an easy drive to Boca Raton Museum of Art and The Wick Theatre and Costume Museum.
