Located across the street from Gabe Nesbitt Community Park and Methodist McKinney Hospital, Villas at Willow Grove is a gated community in McKinney that offers low-maintenance living. Built in 2010, this active lifestyle community contains 157 homes that range from 1,259 to 1,691 square feet.

The ranch-style homes feature granite countertops, dramatically tall ceilings, private outdoor spaces, and open floor plans. Thanks to a reasonable homeowners’ association fee that covers weeding, lawn maintenance, fertilizing, edging, and watering, you don’t have to worry about keeping up with the lawn.

Villas at Willow Grove offers a rich variety of activities and events for homeowners, including book club, holiday parties, bridge, bunco, men’s coffee, and potlucks. At the community clubhouse, residents can stick to their workout routine in the exercise room or join a game in the multipurpose room.

The community also offers a pool, a patio, picnic and barbecue areas, and walking and biking trails that wind through the community. The Cottages at Lyndhurst is a gated, 55+ community that contains 20 attached homes. Situated in the desirable city of Keller, this intimate community contains homes built between 2013 and 2014. Homes range from 1,986 to 2,019 square feet and feature private patios, gourmet kitchens, energy-efficient appliances, and a separate study room.

While this age-restricted community doesn’t offer a clubhouse, homeowners can still enjoy the outdoors in The Cottages at Lyndhurst. The community contains scenic courtyards with fountains clustered between homes and sidewalks for quiet evening strolls. A homeowners’ association fee covers landscaping and yard maintenance, giving residents the freedom to pursue their favorite pastimes.

Clubhouse in Ladera Rockwall = Rockwall, TX

Located in Rockwall, about 30 minutes from Dallas, Ladera Rockwall is a new gated, 55+ community that will contain 117 single-family homes upon completion. Active adult homebuyers can browse 11 models that range from 1,654 to 2,936 square feet. Some homes are designed with high ceilings, utility rooms, extra storage, and office space.

As part of the community’s lock and leave program, residents can have roof maintenance and replacement handled for them. An association takes care of exterior maintenance, watering, irrigation, and upkeep, allowing residents to enjoy a low-maintenance lifestyle.

When it comes to amenities, homeowners can take advantage of an activity center, multipurpose and meeting rooms, and an exercise room. Outdoors, residents can enjoy an outdoor pool and patio, pickleball courts, a grilling area, 38 acres of trails, and a pond.
