The Santa Clarita Valley is experiencing somewhat of a boom when it comes to Boomers. The area is ideal for peace and privacy—nestled among rolling hills, near lakes and forests, yet close enough to Los Angeles, the beach, and Santa Barbara for plenty of fun day trips. There are also some well-known amusement and waterparks in the area that the grandkids will be thrilled to visit.

Whether you’re looking for new construction (and all of the expected up-to-date finishes that come along with it) or a charming, already established active adult community, you can find it all in the gorgeous Santa Clarita Valley.

BelcaroValencia

High $500s – Mid $600s

Belcaro offers homebuyers a residential feel with contemporary, Spanish-style homes built on quiet, wide streets. This gated 55+ community is situated on 47-acres of lush, mature landscaping, and it’s comprised of 275 single-family and attached homes available on a resale basis.

Set in the neighborhood of Valencia in the Santa Clarita Valley, Belcaro residents are conveniently located near highly rated restaurants, high-end shopping, amusement parks, and plenty of scenic hiking and biking trails.

Built between 2003 and 2008, Belcaro offers buyers two collections of resale homes, one comprised of single-family and one of attached homes. The Greens collection of single-family homes ranges from 1,673 to 2,430 square feet, with two to three bedrooms and two to three-and-a-half bathrooms. The Liberty collection is made up of attached homes that range from 1,830 up to 2,500 square feet, available in one- or two-story floor plans.

Belcaro offers its residents an abundance of amenities and a robust social life. There are numerous clubs, and a 9,000-square-foot clubhouse with an onsite wellness center and a coffee and juice bar. Residents enjoy the outdoor pool, private cabanas, and the heated Jacuzzi. Homeowners also make use of the performing arts studio, bocce ball court, library, conference center, banquet room, card room, and game room. This established 55+ community of 1,290 homes offers a variety of single-family and attached homes in a wide range of sizes and floor plans. Residents of Friendly Valley stay true to the community’s name, attending a wide range of social events, clubs and other communal onsite activities. Set in the beautiful Santa Clarita Valley, Friendly Valley offers stunning views, a friendly neighborhood vibe, and close proximity to major urban cities such as Los Angeles and Santa Barbara.

Some of the many amenities Friendly Valley residents enjoy include the social clubhouse, the fitness room, and the library. Outdoors, homeowners enjoy the resort-style pool, along with barbecue areas, shuffleboard courts, horseshoe pits, and a nine-hole golf course. Other amenities include R.V. parking, a picnic area, and a shuttle. There are over 50 social clubs to take part in.

VeranoSanta Clarita

Active adults looking for a new construction home within a 55+ community featuring resort-like amenities should consider Verano. Nestled in sunny, picturesque Santa Clarita, this gated community features just 95 new homes, located in the larger, master-planned community of Aliento.

Active adults will enjoy the brand new clubhouse and fitness center, as well as a resort-style swimming pool and patio area. Multi-purpose rooms, meeting rooms, and a catering kitchen are also available for enjoyment.

Construction on Verano began in 2017, and the community of single-family homes features six floor plans ranging in size from 1,617 to 2,380 square feet, with two to four bedrooms, two to four bathrooms, and two-car garages.

GallowaySanta Clarita

High $500s

Another new-construction 55+ community, Galloway promises modern, up-to-date single-family homes with high-end finishes and resort-like amenities. With scenic views of the Santa Clarita Valley, this 55+ community is set in the Five Knolls master-planned development in Santa Clarita, near the picturesque Santa Clara River.

Some of the amenities future homebuyers will have to look forward to are a clubhouse with a fitness center, an outdoor pool and spa, an outdoor patio with barbecue areas, and walking and biking trails throughout the entire community.
