Located about an hour south of Atlanta, this golf club community is spread out over 1,700 acres of hills and forests in the quiet town of Griffin. Locals enjoy the friendly downtown area, which has interesting shops, restaurants, and historic sites. Running errands is also easy for residents, with the Tanger Outlet Mall, South Point Mall, Kroger grocery store, and Walmart Superstores all just short drives away.
Living at Sun City Peachtree means that you may never want to leave the premises, though. Greensboro is a sought-after locale, known for Highgate Estate & Gardens, Historic Scull Shoals Mill Village, and the Oconee Brewing Company. The closest shopping includes a Publix Super Market at Lake Oconee Village, a CVS, a Walgreens, and Beacon Heights Shopping Center. If you’re not familiar with Braselton, it's about 50 miles north of Atlanta and has a historic downtown area. In addition to the resort, Braselton has attractions like Mulberry Riverwalk and Thompson Mills Forest. Errands can be run at the Clearwater Crossing Mall, Hamilton Mill Village, Publix, Kroger, and Walmart Supercenter.
Plans are in the works for a 19,000-square-foot community clubhouse, where homeowners will be able to swim in the indoor lap pool and outdoor pool, relax in the indoor and outdoor spas, play pickleball, or attend meetings and events.
