Groceries and transportation are around average although average healthcare costs are lower than most of the country. Housing costs in Hampton are high, with the median home price being around $531,100. However, this is still lower than many other parts of New England, such as Boston or coastal areas of Maine.

Transportation Options to Hampton

Hampton's location on the southern coast of New Hampshire is easily reachable by car or plane. If you are driving, Hampton is located about an hour north of Boston, Massachusetts and about an hour south of Portland, Maine. The town is easily accessible via Interstate 95, which runs through the center of town. If you are flying, the closest major airport to Hampton is Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT), which is located about 40 minutes west of Hampton. Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) is another option, located about an hour south of Hampton. From either airport, you can rent a car, take a taxi, or use a ride-sharing service to get to Hampton.
