Climate & Geography
Rio Verde has a hot desert climate typical of the Phoenix metro area. Summers are long, hot, and dry while winters are mild. Though freezing temperatures overnight are possible, there is no snow. There is also very little precipitation throughout the year and 296 days of sun.

Rio Verde was established as an active adult golfing community, and as a result, much of the recreation and entertainment in the city is related to golfing.
