For decades, K. Hovnanian has been producing quality homes and active lifestyle communities. One of their most popular brands in that time has been Four Seasons, a collection of active adult communities located across the country. Known for their modern single-family and attached homes, Four Seasons communities have become a hit among active adults.

Between resort-style amenities and active lifestyles, homeowners know they’ll enjoy a retirement with modern amenities and an exciting social atmosphere. It’s no surprise that 2017 was another great year for sales of Four Seasons communities. Here are the top-selling 55+ communities according to 55places.com.

1. Four Seasons at The Lakes of Cane Bay – Summerville, SC

It’s no surprise one of the newest Four Seasons communities is also the top-selling community. Active adults have been flocking to this Charleston Area community for its modern, new-construction homes. Located inside the still-growing Cane Bay master-planned community, homeowners will have access to the master association’s amenities as well as those at Four Seasons.

Home prices in Four Seasons at The Lakes of Cane Bay start in the low $200s and go into the mid $500s. There are 14 home models in the community that range from 1,320 to 2,626 square feet and include two bedrooms, two to three bathrooms, and two to three-car garages.

Amenities include a 20,000-square-foot clubhouse with a state-of-the-art fitness center and indoor pool. Outside, residents can stay active at the outdoor pool, walking trails, and pickleball, bocce ball and tennis courts. Other amenities include a fishing and boating lake, garden square, and outdoor amphitheater.

2. Four Seasons at Smithville – Galloway, NJ

One of New Jersey’s best-selling communities, Four Seasons at Smithville is popular for its affordability, modern amenities, and inexpensive homeowners’ association fees. This 55+ community consists of 1,215 single-family and townhomes as well as an array of private amenities. Townhomes in Four Seasons at Smithville are priced in the mid $100s and range in size from 1,281 to 1,412 square feet of living space. They feature two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and one-car garages. Single-family homes are priced from the mid $100s to the mid $300s and come in five different floor plans ranging from 1,748 to 2,400 square feet. They include two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and one or two-car garages.

The centerpiece of the community’s amenities is the 23,000-square-foot clubhouse, which has a state-of-the-art fitness center, aerobics studio, ballroom, card room, billiards, and indoor pool. Homeowners also enjoy staying active at the outdoor pool, tennis courts, bocce ball courts and shuffleboard courts as well as the putting green and walking trails. 3. Four Seasons at Beaumont, CA

Hovnanian began construction on Four Seasons at Beaumont in 2005 and is still expanding to what will eventually be 1,923 attached and single-family homes. The community is noted for giving active adults a diverse selection of home styles with nine separate home collections, each with multiple floor plans. Attached homes come in the Springdale collection with three floor plans ranging in size from 1,183 to 1,557 square feet and include two or three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two-car garages. The eight remaining home collections offer single-family home designs and range in size from 1,404 to 2,775 square feet. Single-family homes include two to four bedrooms, two to three bathrooms, and two to three-car garages. Homes in Four Seasons at Beaumont are priced from the high $200s to mid 400s.

There are three amenity centers within the community, which include The Lodge, The Salon at Four Seasons, and The Summit.

The Lodge is a 20,000-square-foot clubhouse that has a bistro, lobby, ballroom, theater, library, arts and crafts studio, and billiards room. Just outside of The Lodge, there is an outdoor pool, barbecue area, multiple sports courts, horseshoe pits, a basketball court, and miles of walking trails.

The Salon at Four Seasons provides homeowners with a spa experience just a few steps from their front door. It’s also home to a fitness center, aerobics studio, full-service salon, heated spa, and billiards.

The Summit is a smaller clubhouse that focuses on health and fitness and offers amenities like an indoor pool and exercise room.

4. Four Seasons at Hemet, CA

Fourth on the list is another Inland Empire area community, Four Seasons at Hemet. This 55+ community features 1,106 single-family homes with pricing from the mid $200s to the mid $400s. There are four home collections called the Masters, Legends, Invitationals, and Championships, each offering three distinct floor plans. The Masters collection ranges in size from 1,743 to 1,874 square feet with two or three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two-car garages. Legends offers homes sized from 1,444 to 1,556 square feet with two or three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two-car garages. Homes in the Invitationals collection range in size from 1,772 to 2,090 square feet and include two or three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two or two-and-a-half car garages. Championships is the largest collection with homes starting at 2,290 square feet and going up to 2,775 square feet. These homes have two to four bedrooms, two to three bathrooms, and two or two-and-a-half car garages.

The Lodge is the community’s 14,859-square-foot clubhouse with a state-of-the-art fitness center. It also includes a bistro, aerobics studio, arts and crafts room, card room, ballroom, movie theater, library, and beauty salon. Outdoors, homeowners enjoy a resort-style pool and spa, two lighted tennis courts as well as pickleball, bocce ball, and shuffleboard courts. Residents also have access to an event patio and barbecue area.
