    We moved into Four Seasons at the Lakes of Cane Bay four months ago, hoping we would be pleased with our relocation from another state. We're more than pleased; we're extremely happy here.

    Four Seasons is still being built. Close to 300 homes (out of the planned 800) have been sold and in this community, everyone is looking to make new friends. We rapidly acquired a large circle of friends by meeting neighbors, attending block parties, joining clubs, and interest groups. You can be as involved or laid back as you like here.

    Through the book club, wine club, Mah Jongg, and Shalom Y'all club, we have met new neighbors who are now friends. As a matter of fact, when trying to describe our new lifestyle to those who don't live here, I say this: "Picture being a kid again. All of your friends live on your block and close by. There's always someone to 'play' with."
    Yes, really! Life here is that nice.

    There are sports activities (indoor/outdoor pools, well-equipped gym, tai chi, barre, miles of bike paths, walking trails, community kayaks to take out on our vast lakes, pickleball, bocce, etc.). We have planned community activities, travel club, photography, and arts clubs, to name but a few things that we can enjoy.

    Despite being a retirement community, we are quite active. Some of us still work, while others work-out. We frequently go into Charleston for dinners, shopping, and culture.
    We can enjoy them in Summerville, also. In our historic town, we have Third Thursdays on Hutchinson Square. The streets are closed in order for us to meander from vendor to vendor, in and out of stores, and listen to some lively music. Saturdays are Farmers Market days throughout most of the year. We also have an active community theater. The Flower Town Festival, Spoleto, and more add enrichment to our lives.

    We have a strong sense of community: it encompasses our Four Seasons, the Lakes at Cane Bay, Summerville, and greater Charleston. If this is the lifestyle you want, come look at Four Seasons. You just may feel like we do; you're home!
