PebbleCreek is a gated community for the 45+ active adult in Goodyear. Goodyear is a suburb of Phoenix but is also a city in its own right, with a population of about 80,000 people. It’s a 25-minute drive west of Downtown Phoenix and a 20-minute drive east from the Skyline Regional Park, an 8,700 acre mountain preserve filled with hiking trails.

PebbleCreek is a community of 6,200 single-family and attached homes. Amenities include a 47,000 square-foot clubhouse with a ballroom, fitness center, and restaurant. There are two par-72 golf courses, with lakes and mountain views, as well as several pools, seven tennis courts, and a creative arts center with a number of arts and crafts studios.

There are also numerous clubs, classes, and activities such as dancing, hiking, woodcarving, painting, and music.

The community has many different models available. They start at 1,272 square feet, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a two-car garage, through to 3,408 square feet with as many as five bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a three-car garage.

Robson Ranch – Eloy

Robson Ranch is a gated community for active adults with an age restriction of only 40+. It’s in the small city of Eloy, about an hour south of Phoenix and an hour north of Tucson, close to the junction of Interstate 8 and Interstate 10. Picacho Peak State Park is a 30-minute drive to the south.

Robson Ranch has 4,600 single-family and attached homes. Amenities include a 39,000 square-foot clubhouse, an 18-hole golf course, a ballroom, fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools, fishing lakes, four tennis courts, and 16 pickleball courts.

Robson Ranch is a very active community with dozens of clubs, classes, groups, and activities on offer to residents, from aerobics to Zumba by way of poker, a Spanish language class and Spanish travel group, many arts and crafts groups, dancing, hiking, and fishing.

Home models start at 1,270 square feet, which provides two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a two-car garage. The largest model is 2,402 square feet with two bedrooms, a den, two-and-a-half bathrooms and a two-and-a-half-car garage. Other models, though smaller, offer up to three bedrooms and a den.

SaddleBrooke Ranch – Oracle

SaddleBrooke Ranch is Robson’s newest community in Arizona, based in the small town of Oracle in the Oro Valley, just north of Tucson and in the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains. It’s a gated community of 5,400 homes and like the majority of Robson communities it has a low 40+ age restriction.

Among the amenities here are a 37,000 square-foot clubhouse, an 18-hole golf course, 28 pickleball courts, indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center, and an on-site craft brewery. There are numerous clubs, classes, and activities on offer to residents, such as dancing, arts and crafts, card and board games, and many sports such as golf, volleyball, football, and tennis.

The smallest models are 1,404 square feet with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a two-car garage. The largest available is 3,077 square feet and has three bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms, and a three-car garage.

SaddleBrooke – Tucson

SaddleBrooke is also in Oro Valley, a few miles from Saddlebrooke Ranch, in the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains and a 40-minute drive north of Downtown Tucson. It has 4,589 attached and single-family homes for the 40+ active adult.

The many amenities include several clubhouses, several pools, a total of 63 holes of golf, two fitness centers, tennis courts, a library, arts and crafts studios, and rooms for yoga, aerobics, and dance.

There are also countless clubs, classes, groups, and activities, including sports, dance, arts and crafts, card and board games, a singles group, hiking, and singing.

The most compact models are 1,335 square feet and have one bedroom plus a den, two bathrooms, and a two-car garage. The largest homes have 3,485 square feet which offer three or four bedrooms, a den, two-and-a-half or three-and-a-half bathrooms, and a three-car garage. 

Quail Creek – Green Valley

Quail Creek is one of the more affordable Robson developments, but that doesn’t change the amenities on offer.

Quail Creek is a Robson gated community of 4,000 single-family and attached homes for the 40+ active adult. It’s in the small town of Green Valley, a 45-minute drive south of Tucson. The popular birding and hiking destination of Madera Canyon is a 30-minute drive south of Quail Creek.

Amenities include a clubhouse with a library, ballroom, and billiards room. The Quail Creek Country Club has three 9-hole golf courses, and the Anza Athletic Club has a fitness center, two outdoor pools, 16 pickleball courts, six lighted tennis courts, and four bocce courts.

The clubs and activities organized at Quail Creek include dancing, drama, hiking, birding, woodcarving, other arts and crafts, and a computer club.

Models start at 1,286 square feet, these having two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a two-car garage. The largest homes have four bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms, and a three-car garage in 2,686 square feet of living space.
