Pahrump is a town located in Southern Nevada, an hour away from Las Vegas. Its popular location and sunny weather have made it an enticing option for retirees. For instance, average winters highs are in the high-50s, but temperatures often drop to single digits or subzero at night.

Pahrump is situated on the border of Nevada and California in the Mojave Desert region. The surrounding terrain is primarily made up of shrubland and low altitude basins. Mt. Charleston lies directly to the east of the town, and several other small mountain ranges are nearby. Death Valley National Park is also located just west of the town.

The town is also known for their contemporary wine culture. They have plenty of wineries, such as Pahrump Valley Winery and Sanders Family Winery. There are also a number of casinos throughout the city. Not to mention, Pahrump’s downtown has many restaurants, shops, and historic museums.

Locals of Pahrump love taking a day trip outside the city and enjoying all the amenities of Las Vegas, Death Valley National Park, and Hoover Dam.
