Built between 1999 to 2005, Wolfpen offers homebuyers an opportunity to reside in a charming established gated community. The average home size is about 1,044 to 2,014 square feet, although some homes may be outside of this range. Most of the homes in WolfPen offer two to three bedrooms and two bathrooms. These homes come in a range of floor plans, sizes, for multiple homebuyer preferences. 

Three types of homes are found within the neighborhood. Single-family homes sit on average-sized lots with most featuring a two-car garage, manicured yards, and distinct architectural appeal. Condominiums are offered in both floor-level and second-levels with many models featuring a sunroom or screened porch. Townhomes feature three homes per building, all of which are single-level living, with end units featuring a garage and center units featuring a carport. 

WolfPen Lifestyle 

Multiple activities and events planned throughout the year allow residents to gather with neighbors and engage within the community. Activities like water aerobics mirror the community’s commitment to an active lifestyle. The Social Committee holds monthly events like the Ice Cream Socials as well as a Christmas Party, and 4th of July Cookout.

Homeowners will find plenty of ways to explore the area or discover new hobbies or interests with a homeowners’ association covering things like landscaping and exterior maintenance.

Surrounding Area 

WolfPen is located on the east side of Hendersonville, two miles east of Interstate 26 on Chimney Rock Road or Highway 64. The community is conveniently located for the commute to the Asheville, Greenville, Spartanburg, and Charlotte areas as well as Downtown Hendersonville. This location puts residents within easy reach of daily necessities and fun activities. 

For groceries, residents will find Walmart, Ingles Markets, and ALDI, within five miles of the community. Pharmacy needs can be met at Walmart, Sam’s Club Pharmacy, and CVS all of which are less than a 10-minute drive away. WolfPen is also close to health care providers such as Pardee Hospital which is five miles away.

Residents will find a cluster of restaurants just a few miles from home heading southwest along Highway 64. Bay Breeze Seafood is popular for its kitschy beach-themed interior and relaxed atmosphere while Postero is fine-dining in a bi-level space serving New American fare.

There are also several greenspaces and parks in the area, including Jackson Park and Rhododendron Lake Nature Park. Several lakes can be found within a couple of hours from Wolfpen providing numerous opportunities for boating, fishing, hiking, and camping. Lake Rhodhiss, Douglas Lake, and Lake Jacosee are among the most popular places to see the area’s majestic beauty and expansive outdoor recreational opportunities.

Golfers will find many options within 20 minutes of the community for every level of skill. Hendersonville Country Club is a prestigious private club offering 18-holes of tree-lined fairways rich in tradition. Broadmoor Golf Links tests ultimate shotmaking abilities featuring challenging carries over water with a low bump and run shots on bunker-less greens stretching 7,140 yards in length.

Residents of WolfPen will find Asheville’s Downtown, just minutes away, a busy commercial hub providing opportunities to explore the Art District’s galleries, museums, and former factory buildings turned artist’s studios.

Among the treasures of the area, there are also indie boutiques, specialty food stores, and artisan shops located in Grove Arcade, a well-defined dining scene, and attractions unique to Asheville’s historical roots. For long-distance travel, residents will find Asheville Regional Airport just over 11 miles away while Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport is just over 44 miles from home.
