Climate & Geography
Deerfield Beach is caught between a tropical rainforest and tropical monsoon climate, giving it hot, long, and humid summers. Late summer hosts frequent thunderstorms, and winters are pleasant, rarely reaching freezing temperatures. Though residents can expect more rainfall than average, there are still over 250 sunny days a year.
Recreation, Culture & Entertainment
Much of Deerfield Beach’s entertainment and recreation is based around outdoor activities. The Deerfield Beach Boardwalk is one of its most popular destinations, with a fishing pier and many nearby restaurants and bars. Residents can go boating on Deerfield Island Park, camping in Quiet Waters Park, and golfing at the Deer Creek Golf Club and Southwinds Golf Course. The Deerfield Beach Arboretum also offers peaceful nature walks. Residents seeking shopping can head to nearby Boca Raton, which has plentiful name-brand and high-end shopping centers.

Though the cost of living in Deerfield Beach is slightly higher than the national average, this is entirely because transportation is much higher. In contrast, housing is much more affordable and well below average for Florida, as are health care and utilities. Residents can expect groceries to cost the same as the U.S. average.

Within 10 miles are three more high performing hospitals: Northwest Medical Center-Margate, Delray Medical Center, and Holy Cross Hospital-Fort Lauderdale.
