    The rural city is surrounded by water with houses sitting next to the waterways and the Gulf of Mexico.

    Recreational areas include Sunwest Park, Florida Exotic Bird Sanctuary, Veterans Memorial Park, Treasure Trove Mini Mall and Consignments, and Hudson Beach Park. Hudson also has two golf courses: Beacon Woods Golf Club and Lowman Links Inc. Additionally, canals are perfect for fishing and boating. 

    Furthermore, Tampa is one hour south of Hudson.
