Humble is a city in Harris County, Texas. This small city is located within the Houston metropolitan area, but provides a quiet, close-knit suburban environment. Residents can enjoy local shops and landmarks or take a quick drive into the city to enjoy what it has to offer.

Climate and Geography

Coastal Texas has a humid subtropical climate that is characterized by hot, humid summers and mild winters, although the proximity to the Gulf of Mexico does contribute to slightly cooler temperatures than areas that are further inland. Residents can expect higher-than-average amounts of rain, no snowfall, and approximately 204 sunny days throughout the year. During the spring season the region can often experience severe weather including thunderstorms, tornadoes, and hurricanes.

The surrounding terrain consists of extremely flat lowlands. As a suburb of Houston, Humble is mostly made up of residential neighborhoods, but the geography gets increasingly marshy heading southeast toward the Gulf coast.

Recreation, Culture, & Entertainment

Some of the top natural attractions in Humble include the Mercer Arboretum and Botanic Gardens, Jesse H. Jones Park and Nature Preserve, and Old MacDonald’s Farm. Residents can also learn about local history at the Humble Museum, catch a show at the Humble Civic Center and Arena Complex, or go shopping at Deerbrook Mall.

Cost of Living & Taxes
