The Woodlands has a humid subtropical climate. The average annual high temperature is in the high 70s and the average annual low temperature is in the high 50s. The average annual precipitation is around 45 inches of rainfall.
The community is heavily forested with trees left in place for decoration and shade. Majority of the terrain is flat.

Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is a great spot for residents to catch all types of concerts and shows throughout the year. The Woodland Mall has a large amount of shops and restaurants to check out. Active adults regularly hike and bike in the George Mitchell Nature Preserve with a lot of forestry to admire. Farmers markets and art galleries are sprinkled throughout the community.
