The practice range has a spacious practice putting area, chipping and putting greens, fairway and greenside bunkers, and a short game with a double-ended tee. Designed by Rees Jones, the public tournament course hosts the Shell Houston Open. The private member course was designed by Jacobson Hardy. Both courses are surrounded by five acres of native wildlife and carefully preserved wetlands. 

Amberwood residents also have use of The Park at Fall Creek, a resort-style activity complex situated among a mature wooded landscape. Outdoors, homeowners will find lighted tennis courts, a picnic area, and a children's playground. Two acres within the compound encompass an aquatic center. Not only does the aquatic center have a six-lane competition pool, but it also includes a variety of water amusement features. Some homes also include a sun room.
