Homes for sale in Florida are diverse and range from waterfront condos on the coasts to single-family homes in the central part of the state. Buyers looking for 55+ communities can quickly narrow their search by considering a Del Webb property.

The builder, which joined PulteGroup in 2001, is known for its desirable and comfortable active adult communities. Take a look at some of the most popular Del Webb communities in Florida.

Del Webb Naples – Ave Maria, FL

High $200ks – High $900ks

A large town square and a local continuing education center are available at Del Webb Naples, a 55+ community within a larger master-planned development. If you grew up in a small hometown, you’ll recognize the cozy feel of this community, and you’ll enjoy the amenities and social opportunities.

The Oasis Club is a 12,000-square-foot clubhouse with a fitness center, movement studio, activity room, library, and cafe. Outside, there’s a water park that includes pools and a sand volleyball court. Residents also have access to pickleball courts, bocce ball courts, and tennis courts.

Golfers may elect to buy a golf membership which includes privileges at Panther Run Golf Club where there’s an 18-hole course, practice facilities, and a pro shop.

Homes at this active adult community are available as new and resale single-family homes and attached villas. Two-, three-, and four-bedroom homes are available, some including dens. Buyers will find floor plans with modern upgrades and low-maintenance exteriors thanks to the active homeowners’ association. Properties are between 1,222 and more than 3,000 square feet.

Ave Maria has all of the grocery stores, boutiques, restaurants, and retailers that residents might need within the community. Plus, it’s close to southwest Florida Gulf cities like Naples, Venice, and Sarasota.

Del Webb Ponte Vedra – Ponte Vedra, FL

Mid $300ks – High $800k

Jacksonville is not only one of the fastest-growing cities in Florida, but also in the entire country. Active adults with Florida retirement plans might want to consider the northern part of the state, where Del Webb Ponte Vedra offers unique amenities from fishing lakes to nature preserves.

Residents can hike or bike the six-mile nature trail or plant their favorite veggies and flowers in the community garden. There’s also a putting green, a picnic area, and a 377-foot zip line. Residents can also enjoy a visit to the Sandcastle Day Spa, the Magnolia Movement Studio, and the Atlantic Fitness indoor lap pool, all found in The Anastasia Club, a 37,000-square-foot clubhouse.

The party planning committee at this 55+ community schedules social events and learning activities regularly, and the neighborhood newsletter keeps everyone up to date. Properties for sale in this gated community include single-family homes, attached villas, and condos. They’re available in new and resale models that range from two bedrooms to four bedrooms and 1,157 to 2,634 square feet.

Jacksonville real estate is growing along with the city. Active adults are finding it’s a great place to be near beaches and golf. TPC Sawgrass is local and offers a PGA-quality course that both serious golfers and newcomers love to play. Ponte Vedra is also less than half an hour from Downtown Jacksonville’s Southbank Riverwalk and its restaurants, entertainment venues, farmers markets, and shops.

Del Webb Lakewood Ranch – Lakewood Ranch, FL

Mid $300ks – Mid $1Ms

Some of the best retirement communities in Florida have outdoor pools, pickleball courts, and fitness centers, but how many of them have polo fields? Del Webb Lakewood Ranch has that and more, including a barefoot bar and a fire pit.

This green-certified Del Webb community is a collection of 1,300 homes for 55+ residents. Single-family and attached homes are available in more than a dozen models ranging up to 2,808 square feet with between two to five bedrooms. In addition to unique amenities, regular potlucks and themed dinners are held, making socializing easy. Clubs and events are also frequently held, such as a walking group, movie nights, and a book club.

Lakewood Ranch is right off Interstate 75, making it easy for residents to get to Sarasota, Tampa, and other parts of Florida. Siesta Key Beach is close as well, plus world-class museums like The Ringling and Selby Gardens.

Del Webb Orlando – Davenport, FL

Mid $200ks – Low $500ks

Active adults looking for golf and easy access to all of Central Florida’s best attractions will appreciate the homes and amenities at Del Webb Orlando in Davenport.

Residents can play at the White Heron Golf Club, which includes a driving range, pro shop, and restaurant. In addition to golf, this 55+ community offers basketball courts, pickleball and shuffleboard courts, RV parking, and 12 miles of trails for walking, biking, or jogging.

The Montecito clubhouse has more than 30,000 square feet for activities like book clubs, game nights, and other social activities. There is also a gardening area and a fishing dock.

Homes are available on a new and resale basis, with models featuring one to four bedrooms, dens, and patio space. Buyers can find a property under 1,000 square feet or more than 2,200 square feet.

The community is close to grocery stores, retailers, banks, and restaurants. Orlando is just north of Interstate 4, offering theme parks, shopping, golf, and unique recreational opportunities.

Del Webb Nocatee – Ponte Vedra, FL

Low $400s – Mid $1Ms

Joining Del Webb Ponte Vedra in the Nocatee master-planned community is the newer Del Webb Nocatee. The community became an instant hit after it was announced, it’s sure to be a popular Jacksonville-area community for years to come.

Plans call for 845 attached and single-family homes in a gated setting for added security. Between those homes, there are three home collections and 12 individual floor plans ranging from 1,488 to 3,492 square feet.

Amenities in the community will include a 20,000-square-foot clubhouse with a fitness center, hobby rooms, a bar and grill, and an indoor lap pool. Outdoors, residents will have access to a resort-style pool, a spa, and courts for pickleball, bocce, and tennis.

Residents will also have access to the amenities and lifestyle options in the wider Nocatee community. With an ideal location in an already popular development, Del Webb Nocatee is sure to meet the needs of almost any homebuyer.

Del Webb Bexley – Land O’Lakes, FL

Mid $500ks – Low $900ks

Del Webb Bexley has garnered plenty of buzz as the first Del Webb community announced in the Tampa Bay area in several decades. The 850 single-family homes come in six home collections and 18 individual floor plans ranging from 1,372 to 3,950 square feet.

A sample of the amenities in the community include the 17,000-square-foot clubhouse. Inside, residents can find a state-of-the-art fitness center, an aerobics studio, and hobby rooms. There’s also an outdoor resort-style pool. Furthermore, homeowners have easy access to nearby Tampa and St. Petersburg.

Cypress Falls at The Woodlands – North Port, FL

Low $200s – High $400s

Originally built by Lennar Homes, Del Webb took over the construction of Cypress Falls at The Woodlands in 2012 after a halt several years before, so most of the homes in this 55+ community are Del Webb made.

The four Del Webb home collections offer dozens of models, including attached and single-family homes as well as options ideal for downsizing. Community amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness center, hobby rooms, a resort-style pool, and several athletic courts to maintain an active lifestyle.

Tidewater by Del Webb – Estero, FL

Low $300ks – Mid $800ks

Tidewater by Del Webb is the builder’s second Naples-area community, located closer to Fort Myers and Cape Coral. The community includes attached and single-family homes in eight floor plans that range from 1,542 to 2,852 square feet.

Amenities include a warm clubhouse surrounding a lighted, heated pool. There’s also a fitness center, a movement studio, an outdoor barefoot bar, a community garden, and several athletic courts. Members of the community can also look forward to planned clubs and events, including fitness classes, book clubs, day trips, and themed dinners.

Del Webb Tradition – Port St. Lucie, FL

Mid $200s – High $400s

Accompanied by a lot of hype that it has so far delivered on, this recently opened Atlantic Coast community has five single-family floor plans and one attached home plan. Located just off Interstate 95, Del Webb Tradition gives homeowners easy access to the rest of the Atlantic Coast.

Amenities include a clubhouse with a fitness center, an aerobics studio, and multipurpose rooms for community activities. Outdoors, there’s a resort-style pool, plenty of outdoor space, and courts for tennis, bocce, and pickleball.

Stone Creek – Ocala, FL

Mid $200ks – Mid $800ks

Located in what’s quickly becoming Florida’s 55+ community capital, Stone Creek has consistently received recognition for its excellent amenities, lifestyle, and affordability. With 3,800 homes, it’s one of the largest Del Webb communities in Florida.

With development beginning in 2006, this community has attached and single-family homes available in a variety of floor plans. Amenities are split between three complexes: Reflection Bay, Elan Spa & Resort Pool, and Stone Creek Golf Club. Between them, there are 18 holes of championship golf, a catch-and-release fishing pond, a softball field, and day spa services.

Del Webb BayView – Parrish, FL

Mid $300ks – Low $800ks

Del Webb BayView is a newcomer to the Sarasota-Bradenton area, with construction beginning in 2020. At completion, this community will consist of 950 single-family and attached homes. Floor plans range from 1,405 to 2,808 square feet and include two to five bedrooms, two to five bathrooms, and attached garages.

Members of the community will have access to a 20,000-square-foot clubhouse packed with amenities from a fitness center to a juice bar. Outdoors, homeowners can take advantage of pools, athletic courts, a community garden, and an open-air theater. Residents wanting to get on the water can easily do so, as well, with the community’s kayaking area.

Del Webb Sunbridge – St. Cloud, FL

Mid $300ks – Low $1Ms

To finish our list, Del Webb Sunbridge is another new community, this time located near Orlando. Del Webb began construction of this community in 2019 with plans to complete 1,300 single-family and attached residences. Floor plans have at least two bedrooms and range up to 3,452 square feet.

Members of the community will enjoy access to a 27,000-square-foot clubhouse with a fitness center, crafting studios, dining options, and more. Residents will also have access to unique amenities, like a zero-entry resort-style pool, conhole courts, and an event lawn.
