    Jessup, Maryland is a neighborhood located in Howard and Anne Arundel counties, just 15 miles south of Baltimore and 40 miles north of Washington D.C in their shared metropolitan area. Its ideal location and relaxed environment have made Jessup a desirable retirement destination.

    The proximity of Maryland to the Atlantic Ocean keeps the climate at moderate temperatures with hot and humid summers, and mild winters. Residents of Jessup can also expect about 200 sunny days a year and less snow than the national average. 

    Mostly a residential area, the neighborhood sits on flat land interspersed with densely wooded areas.

    Jessup is home to quiet residential streets, a relaxed environment, and a tight-knit community. There are many nature areas where residents can find open fields and local parks, which are ideal for a family outing or barbecue. Not to mention, there are many local businesses, antique shops, and restaurants. Aside from this, it is only a 20 minute drive from Baltimore where residents can find world-class attractions such as the National Aquarium, American Visionary Art Museum, and the Baltimore Orioles national baseball stadium. The nation's capital, Washington D.C., is about 45 minutes away, and features many historic monuments and sites to visit.
