Reno Area, NV 55+ Active Adult Retirement Communities
The town that calls itself "The Biggest Little City in the World" is now home to over 200,000 residents. Though the number of people living here has grown steadily in recent years, the town has managed to stay true to their nickname. Reno provides a much of the entertainment of bigger places like Las Vegas but on a smaller scale. For people looking for a more mountainous area, plenty of outdoor activities and a smaller town feel, the Reno area provides a unique alternative to Las Vegas. While still home to a variety of casinos and entertainment, Reno still gives you the feeling of being in the "old west" with a charming main street and more laid back feel than Las Vegas. Though it may seem that Reno is trying hard to become the next Las Vegas, the towns residents prefer this quieter more laid back atmosphere.

Plus, the walking and biking trails set along the banks of the Truckee river provide for great recreational and park space that is a constant hub of activity in the summer time.
