Mid $100s – High $200s

Single-family homes at Ocala Palms, a 55+ community surrounded by hillsides and horses, come in a number of unique models and floor plans. Buyers who want to downsize into a smaller space can consider the Villa Series with 1,050 to 1,364 square feet, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an attached two-car garage.

There are more than a dozen additional models for less than $200,000, ranging from 1,175 to 2,654 square feet with two or three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Many models have dens and all homes have an attached two-car garage.

Golfers will enjoy the 18-hole Ocala Palms Country Club, which includes a splendid golf course, a pro shop, a putting green, and a driving range. Large, open great rooms and huge master suites with two walk-in closets are standard, and there’s also outdoor space and laundry rooms. Some homes will come with flex space that can be used as a den or an office.

Amenities are coming soon and will include a clubhouse with a fitness center, a multi-purpose room, and a catering kitchen. An outdoor pool and patio will also be available, and residents can enjoy walking, biking, or jogging on the trails and paths that wind through residential areas and parks. Construction began in 2017, and there are already some move-in homes ready at affordable prices.

Located next door to On Top of the World, Pine Run Estates is a smaller community that comes with a good selection of amenities, four home models that a great for downsizing, and an ideal location.

There are two clubhouses in the community. The main clubhouse a fitness center, several hobby rooms, and an outdoor pool and space. Also outdoors are two tennis courts, four shuffleboard courts, and walking trails. The secondary clubhouse comes with hobby rooms and outdoor pool.

Floor plans range from 864 to 1,456 square feet and have two or three bedrooms, one or two bathrooms, and carports or two-car garages. Pine Run Estates also has an extensive list of clubs available. Its low price points yet active lifestyle make it a good alternative to OTOW for buyers looking for a more low-key retirement.
