Fremont is a coastal city in Northern California, and a part of the Bay Area. It is also within the Tri-City area, along with Newark and Union City. Its sunny weather all year long and plenty of outdoor recreation have made it an exceptional retirement destination. Climate & Geography

California is popular for its pleasant Mediterranean climate and beautiful scenery, and this holds true in Fremont as well. The city is in between the rolling hills of East Bay and the San Francisco Bay, making it home to plenty of beaches. It is also home to diverse geography, from desert valleys to tracts of greenspace.

Fremont also borders Silicon Valley, which is famous for being a global center for innovation, technology, and social media. Aside from this, residents are in proximity to other large cities such as San Jose and San Francisco. Like most of California, the cost of living in Fremont is significantly higher than national averages. This is primarily due to its expensive housing cost which is well above the U.S median.
