Twin Oaks Overview

Twin Oaks is an up-and-coming 55+ community in Hollister, California less than 30 miles from the scenic Monterey Bay region, and approximately 50 miles from San Jose. Residents of Twin Oaks will have access to the Twin Oaks Club, a clubhouse that will feature a spacious fitness room, movement studio, demonstration kitchen, and plenty of gathering space. The clubhouse also plans to include a dog wash station.

MHG Builder & Consulting, Inc. began construction of Twin Oaks in 2019 and plans to include 168 single-family homes upon completion. The thoughtfully designed one-level homes will range from approximately 1,579 to 2,011 square feet across five floor plans.

The luxury single-story homes will consist of two or three bedrooms, two or two-and-a-half bathrooms, and attached two-car garages. Many homes will feature open floor plans, kitchens with central islands, and private master suites with en-suite bathrooms. Most residences will also boast smart features that integrate technology into everyday living.

Features in some homes will include private outdoor loggias adjacent to the master bedrooms, which will offer covered and open outdoor living. Some floor plans also offer patios with outdoor fireplaces, chef’s kitchens with walk-in pantries, and flex spaces that can function as offices, hobby areas, or laundry rooms.

Homes also come in five distinct elevations paired with specific homesites to create an appealing streetscape. 

Surrounding Area

Twin Oaks will be located in Hollister, California, less than one hour from San Jose, putting residents in easy reach of daily needs and fun opportunities.

Residents will be close to any daily conveniences they need, including Target, Safeway, Nob Hill Foods, and Bertuccio’s Market, as well as Walgreens and Rite Aid. When dining out, restaurants such as Running Rooster, La Catrina Mexican Grill, Paine’s Restaurant, and Farmhouse Cafe can be found nearby.

Within 30 miles, the area surrounding Monterey Bay offers ample opportunities for visiting beaches, swimming, and water recreation. Some of the best nearby beaches include Salinas River State Beach, Moss Landing State Beach, Sunset State Beach, and Marina State Beach.

Twin Oaks will also be close to multiple health care providers, including Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital, Mabie Health Care Center, and Cornerstone Health. 

Residents who want to visit nearby metropolitan areas are in luck, as they can drive less than one hour to San Jose and less than two hours to San Francisco, providing easy access to everything the cities have to offer. For longer trips, Monterey Regional Airport will be just 45 minutes away and San Jose International Airport will be less than one hour away.
