Have been in my Shea home for three years, the home is very poor quality with lots of Construction issues. There customer service is very lacking, like to blame homeowner for issues with home. Beautiful neighborhood, nice area, WOULD Not recommend this builder,to many lawsuits
I would give Rio Vista 55+ Trilogy a 5 because it is a beautiful well planned community, great location. Lots of nice people and amenities. The golf course is a plus for the homes holding value. You won't see golf course homes and open space like this ever again in an affordable home.
The drawbacks (if these would bother you), are some windy days, small town, and 20 mile drives to big box stores and shopping centers. We've been here 7 months and really appreciate the opportunity to have a reasonably priced lovely home, more modern than the old 55+ areas, and because of the new building going on by Shea the average age is more like 60 rather than 80. Yes, the golf course could use some sprucing up, but it will be a rarity in new 55+ communities. It's a keeper, and really helps hold home values. So far we feel it's a good value and convenient to two airports, San Francisco, Napa, and travel.
We lived here for 10 years, but grew tired of our neighbors being right on top of us. Also, the golf course is a nice layout, but hasn't been maintained properly. There have been numerous complaints on the condition of the course, but the owners do nothing to address them. And Shea does nothing to force the golf course owners to take action to correct the problems there. Three years ago the HOA had a chance to buy the course at a great price, but the ignorant non-golfers joined together to stop it. They couldn't bear the thought of their monthly HOA dues going up by $13 a month.
We're in the process now of trying to sell our house...can't wait to leave this place. The town of Rio Vista is actually pretty nice, although decent restaurants are pretty much non-existent. Anyway, think twice before buying here. Caveat emptor!
Very accurate and up to date listings. Great for searching nation wide options!
This is the place to retire and remain active. We fell in love with Trilogy Rio Vista the first time we visited the property. We visited approximately six other 55+ communities in Southern California to Northern California and Rio Vista was by far the most active, friendly and affordable of them all. The homes are at most 13 years old with new construction still going on. Approximately 2200 homes with a beautiful updated club house and golf course on site. The clubhouse offers indoor pool, indoor track and fitness center. People are very friendly and welcoming with over 100 clubs to capture your interest. We highly recommend our 55 Places Partner Agent... they listened to what we were looking for in a home, they previewed the properties and showed us a large variety to choose from... Rio Vista is a quaint rural community located between San Francisco and Sacramento in the Delta Region within less than half hour to five larger metro areas. We love it here and will enjoy our home for many years to come!!!
I just moved in a couple months ago and have the latest and greatest energy efficient home from Shea. I try to be as energy conscious as I can so I am looking forward to the benefits of this house and the ease on my wallet. My Prius was my first venture into being "green" and it has been a fantastic savings on gas costs. I would give it 5 stars but until I really see the numbers from my "zero energy bill house" I'll give it a solid 4.
I spend a lot of time outdoors and have found the golf and tennis facilities to be top notch. I've met a lot of people like me here and have been enjoying finding my way around. It's only been a couple months but I can already tell it's the perfect community for me.
