My husband and I were very pleased with our interaction with Ms. Garton. When we met her for our first visit to the various 55+ communities in the Middletown area Helen was very well organized and informative. What we liked most was that she was helpful without being pushy. Her insight and advice were crucial in helping us make a decision where we wanted to buy. We highly recommend Helen as a realtor.

I would like to express my pleasure in meeting Ms. Helen Garton, the representative of the Active Adult Realty who reached out to me in my pursuit of purchasing a home in Delaware. Prior to meeting Ms. Garton I did not have any knowledge of the 55+ Communities. After Ms. Garton devoted two entire days to educating me of affordable homes in the 55+Communities in Delaware, I was convinced this is where I would like to relocate. During this time we traveled to eight different Communities. This valuable time was enhanced by Ms. Garton’s well planned itinerary. Our written schedule was extremely organized and including descriptions of all pertinent facts (all costs, amenities, etc.); and were presented in the order of each of the communities we visited. This information providing clarity to our visits, and were extremely helpful at the end of the day and after my return to Baltimore, Maryland when reviewing each Community.
The first time that I spoke with Ms. Garton I was impressed with her concern for my welfare as a single woman, moving from out of state alone. After a brief conversation she insightfully perceived my interests and needs; and invited me to establish a meeting time at my convenience. A plan was made and my education of 55+ Communities began.
Ms. Garton’s depth of knowledge of each of the Communities was evident as she described available medical facilities, shopping centers, etc. throughout our conversations. Helen’s genuine concern for my satisfaction as a home buyer was further evidenced by her emphasis of the characteristics of the homes and the surrounding areas. She wisely stressed the importance of observing the neighborhoods and offered many historical facts, deepening my appreciation of the culture of each town.
My visit occurred at the time Covid 19 was on the uprise, which limited our ability to view the inside the homes and Community Centers. Helen again met this challenge by sending multiple pictures of the rooms in the homes, most affordable to me and those I expressed interest in.
I was also provided with a bank representative if I chose to investigate financial questions regarding affordability, etc.
As you can see, every aspect a novice home buyer would need was addressed in these few days. I felt very fortunate to have met such a wonderful woman and look forward in continuing my relationship with Helen Garton as I move towards purchasing a home in one of the 55+ Communities.

Helen Garton was the best. She was knowledgeable, meticulous in her attention to detail and made the whole experience a pleasure. There was a perfect balance of professionalism with the personal touch.
