55+ Communities of Arizona: Canyon Trails at Fox Creek

For active adults seeking a home in Northern Arizona, Canyon Trails at Fox Creek is an excellent option. Fox Creek is an exquisite master-planned community in Bullhead City that is already home to several neighborhoods that provide a modern, active lifestyle.

The planned Canyon Trails neighborhood will be exclusively available to those aged 55+. Construction at this Brookfield Communities development began in 2016 and is ongoing. As a result, homebuyers can take advantage of modern residences with energy-efficient features. Below we’re exploring what this new community has to offer today’s active adults.

Affordable, Modern Homes with Desirable Features

Upon completion, Canyon Trails at Fox Creek will be home to 460 single-family residences. Currently, plans call for two home collections: Tree Line and Summit. These modern homes are designed for today’s active adults and include desirable features, such as spacious great rooms, covered patios, energy efficient windows, and the option of having designer glass panels between the indoor and outdoor living spaces.

Residences in the Tree Line Series will be single-family homes that range from 1,118 to 1,715 square feet in size. They will feature two to four bedrooms and two to four bathrooms. All homes will also have an attached two-car garage. Residences in the Summit Series will be slightly larger at 1,250 to 1,890 square feet. They will also include two to four bedrooms, two to four bathrooms, and an attached two-car garage.

Homebuyers will find that these residences offer aesthetic appeal both inside and outside of the home. With front yards that incorporate native plants and desert landscaping, the properties are thoughtfully designed to blend in with the surrounding natural setting. All homes at Canyon Trails at Fox Creek are reasonably priced between the mid $100s to the mid $200s.

Excellent Amenities for an Active, Outdoor Lifestyle

Canyon Trails at Fox Creek will allow active adults to live a vibrant lifestyle. With an exclusive clubhouse, residents of this age-restricted community can socialize and stay active in a private setting. The planned clubhouse for Canyon Trails will have a multi-purpose room, a spacious outdoor patio, and a resort-style swimming pool. The plentiful outdoor amenities ensure residents can take advantage of Arizona’s sunny weather all year. With parks, natural spaces, and walking trails spread throughout the community, residents will always have a way to stay active outdoors with their neighbors.

Since Canyon Trails is part of the larger master-planned community of Fox Creek, residents can also take advantage of additional amenities found throughout Fox Creek. There are two on-site clubhouses, two community pools, a hot tub, an amphitheater, and even a dog park. With a full-time activities director, it’s easy for residents to pursue their interests and connect with like-minded neighbors.

Currently, the quarterly HOA fees at Canyon Trails are $67, but once the new clubhouse is completed, the fees are expected to be $131 per quarter, which is still very reasonable considering the modern amenities available.

Ideal Location Near Shopping and Entertainment

Canyon Trails at Fox Creek is located in Bullhead City, which offers easy access to daily necessities without big-city congestion. The surrounding area has convenient shopping centers, banks, churches, restaurants, medical facilities, and more. When residents want world-class entertainment, they don’t have to travel far. The Las Vegas Strip is only about a two-hour drive away. For a closer option, there is also Laughlin, NV, which is only about 15 minutes away. Laughlin is popular for locals and tourists alike who visit for resorts, casinos, and entertainment.

The local area also provides many options for those who love to play golf. Riverview Resort Golf Club and Laughlin Ranch Golf Course are both popular destinations for golfers in the area. With the nearby Colorado River, the local area is also a haven for outdoor recreation. From kayaking to boat tours, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the outdoors in Bullhead City.

Due to the community’s ideal location, it’s also easy to make trips to popular destinations in the Southwest. By car, it’s only about four hours to Los Angeles County, and a little over three hours to Riverside County and Phoenix. And with Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport just minutes away, residents can easily take longer trips without a lengthy commute.
