Cresswind Lakewood Ranch has just announced that it has hired a new lifestyle director. While the community clubhouse nears completion, Rachel Scheer will take over planning and organizing activities, club events, and social opportunities for the Lakewood Ranch community.
Lifestyle directors have a huge impact on 55+ communities, and we have previously talked about how they can often be an underrated amenity. Kolter Homes said one of its goals is to give residents an easier way to pursue their passions, whether that means learning a new skill, making new friends, developing a new interest, or building and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Cresswind Lakewood Ranch Lifestyle Program
Scheer will be expected to implement Cresswind Lakewood Ranch’s long-anticipated lifestyle program, which helps homeowners to focus on three pillars: fitness, nutrition, and relationships. Enjoying an active lifestyle is a priority for many residents, whether they’re settling into a Florida retirement or trying to shift their busy lives to embrace consistent social and health habits. Longer lives and a better quality of life are the goals, and the potential of Cresswind’s lifestyle program has gained national attention and applause.
The new community clubhouse expects to break ground this spring. Until then, the founding residents can make their move-in plans while enjoying the initial lifestyle offerings through an interim “Social House.” It’s located near the community model park. Even before moving in, new residents can take part in new clubs, activities and social events with their new neighbors. The permanent clubhouse is set to be complete in the spring of 2021.
Cresswind Lakewood Ranch Amenities
Lifestyle directors are often only as good as the amenities they have to work with, and at Cresswind Lakewood Ranch, there's plenty to help engage new homeowners. Amenities will start at the clubhouse and also include a Recreational Center. Residents will have access to a modern fitness center, a yoga studio, an art studio with ceramics, a multipurpose event room, a demonstration kitchen, billiards, and various social clubs.
A large, resort-style pool with a patio is planned for just outside the clubhouse. Future residents can expect to meet up with neighbors at the athletic courts, event lawn, dog parks, and walking trails. The well-landscaped community will also feature wide walkways, a food truck plaza, and outdoor social areas.
Cresswind Lakewood Ranch is part of the master-planned Lakewood Ranch community, which means additional amenities are available outside of the private 55+ community. Homeowners can enjoy adventures and opportunities at more than 200 shops and restaurants. There are plenty of retail spaces, lots of parks, a YMCA, farmers markets from December to April, and competitive and recreational sports leagues and teams. Memberships are available at the Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club, where 54 holes of golf across three courses wait to be played. Residents might also enjoy some action at the Sarasota Polo Club, which is home to seven world-class polo fields and a regulation-size arena.
Cresswind Lakewood Ranch Homes for Sale
Cresswind Lakewood Ranch, once completed, will offer 648 single-family new construction homes to buyers seeking homes for sale in Southwest Florida. The community spans 250 acres, and the homes will offer single-story floor plans with two to five bedrooms, attached garages, and dozens of upgrade options and customized features. Second-floor bonus rooms, private pools, and expanded outdoor patios are all potential updates that can be selected.
Floor plans are expected soon.
