Located 35 miles from Atlanta in Griffin, Georgia, Del Webb’s Sun City Peachtree is an active adult community that will have almost 3,400 homes when completed in 2017. Construction started in 2007 and will provide the lowest-priced houses of any Del Webb community in the U.S. Homebuyers have 12 single-family, ranch-style floor plans to choose from that range from 1,100 to 2,600 square feet in size.

The gated community’s Club Peachtree is Sun City Peachtree’s attractive, functional 45,000-square-foot amenity center. Opened in early 2009, the center provides a variety of amenities designed to meet the needs of the residents’ active lifestyles. Included is a fitness area with the latest high-end cardiovascular and weight training equipment. A workout room is surrounded by an indoor walking track. Also available are an aerobics and dance studio and an indoor lap pool.

Outdoors is a large sundeck overlooking a pool that features a separate area for swimming laps. Nine clay tennis courts, three pickleball courts, eight bocce ball courts, and basketball and volleyball courts provide opportunities for competitive sports that complement the beautiful golf course designed by Gary Stephenson. The 18-hole, par-72 course features elevated tees and generous landing areas that make it suitable for all levels of play.

A movie theater with a stage, a variety of rooms for groups to meet, craft studios, billiards, and card rooms, and a library, computer lab, and large ballroom provide endless indoor recreational activities.

Nearby shopping includes South Point Mall, an outlet mall, and numerous shops in downtown Griffin. Four medical facilities provide quality healthcare near Sun City Peachtree. Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is 30 miles away, making air travel less of a hassle.
