In 2011, the Resort Center clubhouse opened with 14,000 square feet of amenities. The clubhouse contains several recreations and amenities designed to support a healthy, active lifestyle. The state-of-the-art fitness center features a wide range of cardiovascular and strength-training equipment, as well as an aerobics studio and regular fitness classes. 

Those who prefer to swim can make use of the outdoor lap pool, which is also used for water aerobics classes. There is a spacious fireside lounge, an arts and crafts studio, a library, a demonstration kitchen, meeting rooms, and a multipurpose activities room. Constructed by builder DiVosta, IslandWalk at the West Villages is a luxurious community where families, snowbirds, and retirees can all find ideal homes to meet their needs. Development of the community began in 2005 with plans to contain 1,869 single-family and attached homes upon completion.

When it comes to homes, IslandWalk at the West Villages offers both attached villas and detached single-family designs. Diverse floor plans range from 1,392 to over 2,600 square feet. Each home has a minimum of two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Many models offer a third bedroom and most have an additional den. Some larger homes also have two-and-a-half or three-car garages.
