The North Dallas area will soon be home to two new active adult communities. 

Nathan Carlisle Homes has announced the development of two new 55+ communities just north of Dallas. Lakes at Legacy will be located in Prosper while ArrowBrooke will be built in Aubrey. Both communities will be located in popular master-planned communities, giving residents access to a variety of amenities.

These two communities represent Nathan Carlisle’s third and fourth forays into age-restricted communities, following The Retreat at Craig Ranch in McKinney and Isabella Village at Savannah in Aubrey.

Both communities signal a growing market of active adult homes in the Dallas area. Texas has long been a destination for those 55 and better due to its warm climate and wide cultural range. Those looking for new construction homes in a booming region should look no further than these two upcoming communities.

Lakes at Legacy

Lakes at Legacy will include 345 single-family homes featuring 16 distinct floor plans. Homes will be priced from the $300s to the $600s and will range in size from 1,600 to 4,000 square feet.

Amenities will include a 5,000 square-foot community center that houses everything from a gathering and entertainment space to a fitness center to a resort-style pool. Nathan Carlisle has also planned an expansive outdoor amenity center surrounding a 6.5-acre lake. Around the lake will be miles of trails for biking and walking. The builders are expecting pre-sales to begin in late summer and should have model homes underway in autumn.


ArrowBrooke will offer more modestly priced homes in a quaint community setting. Plans call for 200 single-family homes priced from the low $200s to the mid $300s. Homes will range in size from 1,600 to 2,650 square feet of living space.

Amenities will include a custom-designed amenity center with multiple entertaining spaces and a resort-style swimming pool. ArrowBrooke will also include miles of walking trails that will lead to a catch and release fishing pond. Pre-sales are slated to begin early next year with model homes opening in spring of 2019.
