Climate and Geography
Huntley is a suburb of Mchenry County, near Kane County. Summers are long, warm and wet, while winters can be freezing and dry. Residents can also expect to see partly cloudy skies year round.
Much like the rest of Illinois, Huntley is built on prairieland. It’s similar to a built-out suburb so residents can find plenty of golf courses, and a few small bodies of water.

Residents looking to get outside in Huntley have plenty of options to do so. These include relaxing on the putting green of Whisper Creek Golf Club, and visiting Fen Park in Lake in the Hills. There are also Enjoy Pioneer Farm and Randall Oaks Zoo, which are ideal for a family outing.
One of the most popular attractions of Huntley is Tom’s Farm Market and Greenhouse, where residents can spend a day shopping, or just touring the greenery.
