    Linwood is a city in Atlantic County on the southern coast of New Jersey. It is home to a quaint community with local shopping centers and water recreation. Additionally, residents have access to the amenities and excitement of nearby Atlantic City.

    Linwood is a coastal city in Southern New Jersey offering numerous beaches and natural areas. Linwood has a humid subtropical climate with hot summers and cold winters. Nearby water brings cooling sea breezes in the summer, and precipitation is evenly spread throughout the year.

    The city is home to a variety of terrain, such as plain farmland, wetlands, and heavily forested areas. It is located between Scull Bay and Patcong Creek and is divided into numerous subdivisions.

    Residents of Linwood enjoy the city’s tight-knit community and plentiful outdoor spaces. For shopping and entertainment, retirees head to Harbor Square and Lenox Factory Outlet, the biggest shopping centers in the area. Some of the most popular outdoor recreation includes several golf courses and a number of nature preserves. Patcong Creek along the western edge of the town offers canoe and boat launches for active adults ready to go off-road and explore the scenery.

    In addition to Linwood’s local amenities, residents can easily head to Atlantic City or Hammonton for brand-name shopping, theater productions, and hiking at state forests.
