We collected data to determine the 10 communities where homes sell the quickest and did some research to determine why that may be.

The desirable homes in these active adult communities spend the shortest amount of time on the market, with an average time to sale ranging between 10 and 15 days. All of these communities are located on the East Coast, across Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.

Clearly, active adult homebuyers seek out homes for sale in these popular communities because living in a quick-selling community comes with many benefits. Highly desirable communities often have quality homes, a variety of floor plans, an abundance of resort-style amenities, and a convenient location with plenty of things to do in the surrounding area. As an added bonus, active adults who live in these communities won’t have any trouble selling their home in one of these neighborhoods when the time comes.
