The Springs of Mill Lakes is a new 55+ community coming to Opelika, Alabama. This active adult community will consist of 80 acres of lush landscape and will be situated along the west border of a 45-acre protected wildlife sanctuary. This close-knit and tranquil neighborhood will host just 134 single-family homes, making it easy for residents to mingle and build lifelong friendships. The Springs of Mill Lakes will also provide well-appointed amenities such as a charming clubhouse and outdoor recreational facilities that will keep homeowners active and socially engaged.

This 55-plus community will offer resort-style amenities for all of its residents to enjoy. A proposed 10,000 square-foot clubhouse dubbed The Owl's Roost will feature social areas like a fireplace lounge, multi-purpose room, catering kitchen, and a ballroom. Residents will be able to maintain a health regimen thanks to the on-site fitness center.

Outdoors, the clubhouse will provide plenty of recreational facilities and spaces like a swimming pool, pickleball court, community garden, event lawn, dock, recreational lake, and fishing lake. Walking and biking trails will meander throughout the neighborhood, allowing for residents to enjoy the natural beauty of their environment as well as appreciate the 45-acre wildlife sanctuary that surrounds the community.

The Springs of Mill Lakes Homes & Real Estate

Construction of The Springs of Mill Lakes began in 2016 and plans are to host 134 single-family homes upon completion. All single-family homes feature traditional European cottage exteriors as well as classic elements of brick, stone, and board-and-batten styles. Buyers can also choose to customize their ideal home with optional features like screened porches, sunrooms, basements, or finished bonus rooms.

Homeworks of Alabama offered six elegant single-family home designs. They offered 1,820 to 2,148 square feet of living space and have three bedrooms, two to three bathrooms, and an attached two-car garage. These homes feature open layouts, inviting living areas, spacious master suites, and gourmet kitchens.

Harris-Doyle Homes offers seven distinct single-family floor plans that range in size from 1,850 to 3,460 square feet. They have three or four bedrooms, two or four-and-a-half bathrooms, and an attached two-car garage. Single-family homes feature spacious floor plans, welcoming dining and living rooms, spa-inspired master suites, and storage space.

The community's grounds will be professionally landscaped, providing a beautiful and well-kept environment. The clubhouse will be the central hub for neighbors to mingle, get fit, or relax.
