Floral Lakes is a popular active adult community located in Delray Beach, Florida. This friendly 55+ community is gated and manned 24 hours a day and is comprised of 589 attached villas. Construction began in 1997 and was completed in 2000.

Known for its vibrant social life, active adults at Floral Lakes have a 10,000 square-foot clubhouse that features a fitness center, aerobics and dance studio, sauna, arts and crafts studio, library, media room, ballroom, card room, and billiards room. Residents are sure to stay entertained playing a game of poker or working out on the treadmill any day of the week.
The beautiful outdoor amenities consist of the main outdoor pool located behind the clubhouse as well as a satellite pool located at the north end of Lake Wildflower Road. The spa is also available where residents can soak and relax after a fun-filled day of activities. Rounding out the rest of the outdoor amenities are four Har-Tru tennis courts, two shuffleboard courts, two bocce ball courts, a horseshoe pit, nine-hole miniature golf course, and scenic walking and biking trails.
Floral Lakes Homes & Real Estate
One-story villa homes at Floral Lakes range in size from 1,400 to 1,800 square feet and offer accordion hurricane shutters and screened-in patios. The villas come with an attached one or two-car garage, and are an affordable alternative to a single-family home.
These attached homes are available with two to three bedrooms, and two bathrooms. Some of the homes have Florida rooms, vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, and many have been recently updated to include state-of-the art kitchens and bathrooms. The homeowners' association fee includes cable, common area maintenance, lawn maintenance, recreational facilities, and security.

Adults 55 and better will never experience a dull day while living in this active adult community. The many clubs and activities are organized by the full-time, on-site activities director in Floral Lakes.
Some of the clubs include a singing group, theatrical performance group, singles club, bridge club, book club, golf, creative writing group, fishing group and many more exciting clubs. Numerous activities fill the days, including arts and crafts as well as regularly scheduled aerobic classes.
Area
Over 150 golf courses are located in the area surrounding Floral Lakes, and the beach is just 15 minutes away for sunning, swimming and people watching. Sports fisherman can charter boats at the marina. Floral Lakes has easy access to Interstate 95 and the Florida Turnpike and is just minutes to downtown Delray Beach.
Nearby are great restaurants, fine retail shops, and numerous cultural events. Just a short drive from the ocean, the area is accessed by either the Miami or Fort Lauderdale airports. I enjoy all the activities offered at Floral Lakes. It keeps me busy and has given me the opportunity to meet many new people and get involved with new activities. I just tried Zumba and also do water aerobics. I like the book club and enjoy getting together with the girls for coffee. It's a safe and friendly neighborhood in a great location.
