What I truly cherish about being a real estate agent for 55+ communities is the opportunity to form invaluable relationships with clients who are navigating significant life transitions. Often, these individuals are grappling with a mix of uncertainty, fear, and excitement as they venture into a different stage of life.I love being able to be a support system and being value and insight so they feel confident and comfortable as they make this huge life change. In terms of my professional experience, I've been dedicated to customer service and support since the age of 15, starting my career at Xerox. Transitioning to real estate, I initially worked on a team that specialized in selling homes within an Active Adult community. What makes our local area ideal for 55+ homebuyers includes the favorable weather, relative cost of living compared to neighboring regions, and easy access to amenities commonly sought after by active adults. Our central location provides convenience, everything you need as far as hospitals, shopping, and recreation are available right here, but you’re also just an hour and half away from so many great places. You can access the benefits of all the large cities around us all while living in and enjoying a smaller, more intimate community. For those interested in 55+ communities, my advice is to start the search early, exercise patience, and gain a thorough understanding of the various options available in the area. Make sure you understand what each community offers and what is included in the HOA fees. It's essential not to stereotype 55+ communities as places for "Old People" looking to retreat from the world, these communities are vibrant, active, and thriving, filled with adults who love and embrace life.
