Leisure World Reviews (5)
Average Rating for this Community
Leisure World is beautiful. It is well cared for. the residents are friendly and helpful. There are activities for every possible interest.
I moved to Leisure World nearly 2 years ago and am very happy with the community so far. The condo I purchased was a great deal. I was willing to pay a little extra in the monthly fees to live in a condo with no maintenance to worry about taking care of. I've met a lot of other single women just like me and have pleasantly surprised with how friendly everyone is. I feel like part of a family here and that's been very important to me. The privacy here is nice too. There are gated entries so you have a feeling of safety and security too. I've taken fitness classes, done golfing lessons, water aerobics and I'm still trying new things!
A follow up to my review from 18 months ago. There have been major changes in the landscape department and Leisure World is looking beautiful once again.
We purchased our home in Leisure World 3 years ago. The community is beautiful and well maintained. It is safe and friendly with amenities for everyone. The HOA fees are less in the desert areas of the community and higher in the grassy areas. Agreeably the grassy area HOA fees are quite high, however the yards/trees/grass are all well maintained. This HOA fee also covers painting of your home every 5 years or so and Insurance for rebuilding from studs out. We have friends who have also purchased homes in Leisure World in the last few years and are completely happy. I would not hesitate to recommend this community to others.
Bought a home in Leisure world 10 years ago when the place was beautiful and the HOA fee was reasonable. Now it is looking rundown and the HOA fee has climbed to $470/mo. Much of this fee is for the landscaping dept. which is a joke. I'm looking outside of Leisure World to purchase a home where I can do my own yard work and pocket the difference.
