Scottsdale is a popular city for active adult homebuyers, and these gated communities provide a little more peace of mind.

There are a few popular gated communities in Scottsdale, an affluent and upmarket suburb of Phoenix but also a city in its own right. Gated communities are popular among many active adult homebuyers for the added measure of security that they give, although there are pros and cons.

Scottsdale has a number of fashionable shopping areas as well as upscale restaurants, bars, and nightlife. It has numerous art galleries and museums, such as the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, Western Spirit (Scottsdale’s Museum of the West), and Taliesin West. Scottsdale also has some of the best golf courses and golf resorts in the world, with its warm Central Arizona climate making play possible almost all year round.

All of this makes Scottsdale a popular choice for people seeking an active adult or lifestyle community, and here are three of its popular gated communities.
