Gloucester County is known for its wide-open spaces and booming agricultural industry. Much of it is less developed than are other New Jersey counties and the lower price points reflect this nicely. Active adult homebuyers can get more for their money at many of the communities located here.
Its rich history, which dates back to its founding in 1686, is still evident today. Visitors can tour Revolutionary War sites like Red Bank Battlefield and other landmarks like The Thomas West Home. Scenic lakes, woods, and parks are scattered over the county’s 329 square miles, including 1,000-acre Scotland Run Park.
There are also over a dozen golf courses and large shopping centers like Cross Keys Place and Gloucester Premium Outlets. This diverse and thriving county is also close to Philadelphia, Delaware, and New Jersey beaches. Local medical facilities include Inspira Medical Center in Woodbury and Kennedy University Hospital in Turnersville.
Here is a short list of Glouco’s top active adult communities.
